Spend the day in iconic Palm Springs with Jen Basford, Patrick McBride and Renee Bowen as they work with you to create stunning images for your senior marketing that will stand out and attract the attention of your ideal seniors.
This isn’t your ordinary shootout. This Mid-Century Modern resort city surrounded by 4 mountain ranges in the Coachella Valley is a favorite setting for some of the most exclusive fashion designers’ marketing campaigns each season.
We’ll start the day at the retro Sixties resort that made glamping famous: The Ace Hotel & Swim Club. Vintage furniture, a retro pool, mid-century art and architecture, vinyl record players, a kooky caravan, fabric-draped alfresco lounging areas and an outdoor yurt add to the essential West Coast California boho attitude.
From there we’ll move on to 1-2 additional shooting locations in and around Palm Springs giving you the most unique and experiential shootout ever imagined.
Combine that with hands-on learning in everything from posing, direction, storytelling, lighting and more, this is the one shootout you won’t want to miss.
Sunday, January 29th, from 9:00am until sunset

Patrick McBride is a nationally recognized senior portrait photographer based out of the Chicagoland area. He began his professional career in 2003 with a focus on wedding photography, but soon found a love for working with young adults. His wife, Cassie, later joined the business as the studio manager and they turned their full focus towards high school senior portrait photography.
Patrick and Cassie worked out of their home for several years before opening their first studio space in 2011. Their heavy emphasis on quality lighting, detailed styling and personalized service has made them the most sought after studio in the area.
Patrick is a mentor for photographers from all over the country. His easy-to-understand and methodical approach to lighting, composition and posing teaches photographers how to think through the process and create images that set them apart in their market.
Renee Bowen is a nationally renowned photographer based in Southern California who specializes in upscale, edgy Senior Portraits. She is best known for her editorial, magazine-quality images that tell the story of her client while shooting on location in and around Los Angeles.
Renee prefers movement and energy in her portrait work, and strives to always infuse it with both current and emerging fashion trends. She is also a highly sought after mentor and educates up-and-coming photographers, both one-on-one and in small groups, as part of Seniors Ignite & We Are The SEEN. Additionally, Renee is Co-Founder and Editorial Director of SEEN magazine.
Born and raised in South Louisiana, Renee came to L.A. in 1995 and fell in love with an actor, subsequently had three crazy kids (all now teenagers) and is currently obsessed with Game of Thrones, Outlander, Wildfox and Free People. Wine and chocolate are always appreciated.
Jen Basford, Cr.Photog., owns 3 girls photography in Edmond, Oklahoma. She started her business 10 years ago working out of her home, and within 3 years built a 3500 square foot studio and became (and still remains) one of PPA’s Top Performing Studios in the industry.
Jen is seen as both a leader and an innovator when it comes to business, and her studio is one of the top senior portrait studios in the nation. She is best known for her modern styled senior portraits, her fashion expertise, her highly successful and profitable senior model program, and the out-of-the-box personal approach she takes to marketing and business relationships.
Jen is the Co-Owner of Seniors Ignite, and Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of SEEN Magazine. She is also mom to 3 little girls, affectionately referred to as ‘The Dashes.’ A non-conformist by nature, Jen’s vision is to unapologetically challenge the status quo in everything she does.
